Growing up in a traditional West Indian household, I learned early on that self-care isn’t just a routine—it’s a lifestyle. My daily routines centered around utilizing the multiple benefits of natural ingredients, both by incorporating them into my diet and applying them to my skin.
Pomegranate extract, magnesium, vitamin E, and other natural antioxidants became essential to my well-being. I quickly realized that this plant-based antioxidant blend not only delivered tangible, visible results from the inside out but also aligned with the principles of neurocosmetics—supporting both skin health and emotional wellness by calming the senses and enhancing mood through nature’s most intelligent ingredients.
After a decade of experience in the consumer packaged goods and health and wellness industries—working with companies like SheaMoisture, THAYERS, Weight Watchers, and more—I saw a gap not just in the skincare market, but in how agriculture connects to beauty and wellness. There was a need for a brand that merges inner wellness, sustainably sourced ingredients, and outer beauty. And so, In Real Life Skin was born.
